Curriculum

All pupils have full access to the National Curriculum which consists of three core subjects; English, Maths and Science which are explained below and foundation subjects:- History, Geography, Design & Technology, Music, Art & Design, Information & Communication Technology and Physical Education. As a Catholic School, Religious Education is at the heart of the curriculum.

At Christ The King Catholic Primary School, some of the curriculum is taught through a series of themes or topics which enable and encourage pupils to make links across subject areas through meaningful and relevant activities. As pupils progress through the school, more discreet subject teaching takes place. Educational visits to museums, Art galleries, the Theatre and other places of interest are made to support and enhance pupils learning and provide opportunities for enjoyment and fun.
