Autumn Term 2026:

During the Autumn Term, our topic will be 'The Stone Age'. We will be exploring the wonderful story Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura, which will help us learn about what life may have been like during this fascinating period of history. In Maths, we will begin the year exploring place value. This will include partitioning, recognising the value of digits and being able to read and write numbers.

Reading: Thank you in advance for all your support and encouragement from home. Our recommendation is that the children read every night for at least 15 minutes and talk to you about what they have read. Please discuss any new vocabulary that may appear in the text. Reading books are changed weekly.

Times tables: Times tables and the related division facts are used regularly in lessons so please practice these as much as you can at home. For example, 3 x 4 =12 so 12 ÷ 4 = 3 etc.

Spellings: These will be tested weekly. Please practise these at home each week.

P.E: This term, our P.E day is Wednesday.
