Due to Lockdown, our PTA has not been active in the last year, however we are planning a relaunch at the beginning of 2022 when we hope restrictions will be lifted. Watch this space!!!

We are continuing our tradition of giving the children opportunities to buy a present for their parents. Children will bring an item in on Monday 6th December and parent volunteers are coming in to help the children to choose a gift and then wrap it for their parent.

School Disco

The School disco was a great success and enjoyed by all. It raised £749.60 profit. Many thanks to all who helped and all the parents and children who supported it.

Summer Fair

The Summer Fair was a great success on Saturday June 27th. We had fantastic weather and a great turnout, raising over £2,400 (before expenses) in just two hours, leaving the school with £1,903 profit.

Visitors to the Summer Fair enjoyed Go Karts, Pony Rides, Gladiator Duel, Slide, Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Penalty Shootout, Stalls, Games, Tombola, Raffle, Face Painting, and much more.

Many thanks to the PTA and to Mr Cosgrove and all the staff and parents who helped on the day and those who helped set up ready for the fair after school on Friday and on Saturday morning. Many thanks also to the many families who turned up to enjoy the event and who donated bottles and cakes during the recent non-school uniform days for the cake stall and bottle tombola.

We are delighted the Summer Fair was so successful.

The PTA is a very important part of our life here at Christ the King.  It organises our summer fair, arranges pupil discos and raises money for the benefit of the pupils in a variety of ways throughout the year.  It also helps to decide how that money is spent.

In recent years the PTA has funded audio visual equipment for the school hall, playground equipment, goals for football, and treats for all the children like cinema visits and pantomimes.

The PTA relies on the support of willing volunteers, and there are never enough!  So if you would like to become involved and to help the school to help your children please talk to Mrs Brophy in the school office.  She will be able to put you in touch with the PTA committee.
