We are very proud to have a Christ the King Mini Vinnies group in our school. As ambassadors of our Catholic faith, the children work together to serve others and promote good causes within our school and the wider community. Through their actions, they live out the Gospel values of compassion, kindness and service, demonstrating what it means to put their faith into action.

What are the Mini Vinnies?

Mini Vinnies is the name for a St Vincent de Paul group for primary-aged children. Members meet regularly to pray, reflect and take action to help those in need within our school community and the wider community of Reading. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, they learn that faith is not only something we believe, but something we live through our words and actions.

Faith in Action

Mini Vinnies provides children with opportunities to answer God's call to love and serve others. By supporting those in need, fundraising for charitable causes, and reaching out to people who may feel lonely or forgotten, our Mini Vinnies show that faith is lived through service. Their motto, ‘Turning Concern into Action’, reflects our Catholic mission to follow Christ's example and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Through prayer, charity and service, Mini Vinnies:

• Put the Word of God into action through practical acts of kindness.
• Use prayer and worship to guide all their meetings and activities.
• Bear witness to the Gospel by recognising and supporting those in need.
• Offer a warm welcome to those who may feel isolated or forgotten.
• Place the welfare of others at the centre of all they do.
