    What is Prevent Duty

The Prevent duty is a UK government strategy that requires schools and childcare providers to safeguard children and young people from being drawn into radicalisation and extremism.

Safeguarding approach: Schools treat the risk of radicalisation the same way they treat other dangers like drugs, online harm, or gang violence

Promoting values: Educational settings teach core British values, including democracy, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance for different faiths and beliefs.

Safe spaces: Schools provide secure environments where pupils can discuss sensitive topics and build critical thinking skills.
