Attendance

Attendance is an important part of life at Christ the King. Our Senior Attendance Champion is Mrs Vanessa  Bingham. Our Attendance Champion is Miss Alexis King. She will be your initial point of contact by calling the main office line (01189015434), option 4.

Our school gates open at 8.40 am and will close promptly at 8.50 am.

The end of the school day is as follows

Reception, Years 1 & 2 at 3.15 pm. A Typical week is 6 hours and 25 minutes per day, which equates to 32 hours and 5 minutes per week.

Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 are at 3:20 pm. A Typical week is 6 hours and 30 minutes per day, which equates to 32.5 hours per week.

Attendance rewards

Every month, we commemorate the most improved class in the Celebrate assembly, where the class will receive an attendance belt to display in class, each child will get a certificate, and a medal to showcase that they won the most improved title.

We also celebrate children with Attendance of  94%- 99%, their name will be drawn, and they will choose a small prize and a book, then another name will be drawn to reward a parent with a £5.00pound gift card, to say thank you for trying your best to get your child to school.

Children with 100% Attendance will also have their names drawn out. They will choose a prize, and another name will be drawn for a parent to receive a £ 10.00 gift card to say thank you for continuously getting their child to school each day.

This too is celebrated monthly in assembly.

We are hoping this will encourage children to come to school and see that they can be rewarded for attending.

Attendance should be celebrated, and I am excited to take on this new positive role as the school's Attendance Champion.
