Ufton Court
As part of the Whitley Excellence Cluster (WEC - see under School Community), Christ The King has an excellent partnership with Ufton Court Adventure residential and outdoor education centre.
Ufton Court Adventure offers a programme tailored to the needs of the specific group of pupils, with activities including: Forest skills, Woodland archery, Wilderness and Bushcraft skills, Farm animal care and Scientific enquiry.
All of the children in Year 4 have the opportunity to stay for two nights at Ufton Court at absolutely no cost for the accommodation, food or any of the activities.
Children from the Year 5 class are also given the opportunity to benefit from the Ufton experience to enhance their Science or their social skills. These may go to Ufton for three or four overnight stays during the year for a particular programme of activities.
The children from The Ark and SEN children from the main school make extensive use of Ufton's facilities and frequently go for the day to work on activities designed to boost their social skills.
During the COVID Pandemic, staff from Ufton came in to Christ the King and delivered activities to all year groups so the children didn't miss out on developing those key skills.
