At Christ the King Catholic, our computing curriculum is ambitious and engaging and provided the opportunity for all children, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND, to acquire knowledge and skills to succeed and stay safe in the world that is becoming increasingly reliant on computer technology.
Children benefit from a discrete computing lesson and teachers also provided opportunities for children to access technology in other areas of the curriculum. All children from Reception to Year 6 are timetabled to use the computer suite weekly. Our computing curriculum is based on Rising Stars Switched on Computing Scheme. This programme is planned using the National Curriculum. Children are also given the opportunity to blog in school and at home.
