Christ the King Mini Vinnies – ‘Turning Concern into Action’

We are very proud to say that we now have a Christ the King ‘Mini Vinnies’ group in school. Our Mini Vinnies group work as ambassadors in our school and local community in promoting good causes.’

What are the Mini Vinnies?

‘Mini Vinnies’ is the name for a St Vincent de Paul Group for primary aged children. We get together to organise and talk about helping others in need within our school community and the wider community of Reading.

What do the Mini Vinnies do?

1) Mini Vinnies puts the word of God into action.

2) Mini Vinnies use prayer as worship in all meetings and all that they do.

3) Mini Vinnies bear witness to the word of God by seeking and finding those in need.

4) Mini Vinnies is about welcoming those who are forgotten.

5) Mini Vinnies put the welfare of others as their priority.

Mini Vinnies 2021 - 2022

Look at what we have been up to

Mini Vinnies worked with parish volunteers to collect essential items for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The Mini Vinnies 'Christmas cards for kindness' were delivered to the elderly residents of Parsons Green nursing home, Shinfield. The whole school was involved in this project, the aim was to spread some Christmas cheer. The cards were greatly appreciated by the elderly residents.

We organised a crazy hair day to raise money for local charity Aspire2
