Nursery

Where the Story Begins....

We believe in learning through play and creating confident children who are ready for school. Together the Nursery and Reception classes make up The Foundation Stage. At Christ the King, all children in the foundation stage follow a curriculum called, The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and this is broken down into 7 curriculum areas.

Our staff are constantly assessing the children in their play and more focused adult-led interactions and sessions. We use observations of the children, photos, videos and the work that they do alongside us, plus feedback from parents and comments made by the children, to assess where the pupils are working in their development bands.

We have a 26 place Nursery, morning sessions only - 8:45am-11:45am.

Children may attend Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday.

Applications for Nursery places should be made through the school using our Nursery Admission form.

Please note: a place in Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception when the child is of school age.

We are looking forward to all the exciting learning opportunities that we are going to share together. We also welcome our new starters and hope they enjoy learning and growing with us.
