Applications for entry in September 2018 will be accepted from the start of November 2018. It is likely that the first round of interviews will be held during December 2017 and that further interviews will be held in the Spring of 2018. Our experience in previous years suggests that all the places will have been filled by the end of February.
What We're Looking For
For salaried positions all applicants must have a degree and at least 3 years' work experience. This requirement does not apply to non-salaried trainees. We encourage all applicants to have some experience of working in schools: this is not an absolute requirement, but we need to know that applicants are going into the programme aware of the pressures and the intensity of school life. The personal statement will be very important in helping us to decide whether or not to invite a candidate for interview.
In your personal statement it would be helpful if you could explain why you wish to teach, what you have to offer our schools and how your skills and experience will help you to become an outstanding teacher.
